Elevate your foodpreneurial venture with expert guidance, strategic insights, and the support to apply to become a Coralus Venture, which can include an interest-free five-year loan. This investment isn't just about financial support; it's a catalyst for impactful growth and sustainability.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

Black women entrepreneurs seeking to participate in the program must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Operate a Canadian incorporated business that is majority owned (51%+) by cis* or trans woman, non-binary, gender-fluid or gender nonconforming people. 

  • Operate a food business that is generating revenue of $50,000 within the last year.

  • Be a Canadian resident

  • Complete two surveys throughout duration of workshops

  • As a participant in the Foodpreneur Lab - Coralus Growing Investment Readiness cohort, you will be required to provide the following documentation:

    • Signed Participant Agreement

    • Business Registration/Incorporation

    • Liability insurance

    • Food Handler’s Certificate

    • Complete two surveys throughout duration of workshops

  • The Foodpreneur Lab - Coralus Growing Investment Readiness cohort is a 6-month commitment. The cohorts start on April 1, 2024, and end on September 19, 2024.

  • Our sole focus is on helping you develop your business by providing you with guided and personalized support. You will receive invaluable one-to-one support from a number of industry experts. As such, you can expect to commit a minimum of Foodpreneur Lab - Coralus Growing Investment Readiness hours per month. Please ensure you are available and ready to commit the required time.

  • The Foodpreneur Lab - Coralus Growing Investment Readiness cohort is a 6-month commitment. The cohorts start on April 1, 2024, and end on September 19, 2024.

  • In order to participate, participants must have the following hardware:

    • Computer/Laptop

    • Webcam

    • Microphone

    Sessions will be run digitally through Zoom and scheduled with calendar invites.

    A strong internet connection is required to stay engaged in this program.

  • Yes, every applicant will be notified whether they are accepted or not.

  • Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications received, unsuccessful applicants will not be provided with feedback.

  • The program is currently a hybrid with a majority being virtual which allows us to connect with a larger group.
